Most of what you read in the game is real. Here's exactly where it comes from, and what was changed on the way in.

Machines and faults — Arizona Appliance Repairs model guides

Every machine in the game is a real brand and model drawn from the model repair guides published at appliancerepairaz.com — the same guides a technician (or a determined owner) would use. The "other owners report" notes come from each model's documented failure patterns, and the fault costs line up with the site's repair cost guides.

Service campaigns

Warranty-rate campaign jobs are based on real, widely documented manufacturer programs — sealed-system warranty service, ice maker service bulletins, and safety recalls with manufacturer-funded remedies. Campaign details are summarised for play; always check a real recall notice against the manufacturer's own lookup.

Certifications

The nine certification tracks — laundry, dryers and venting, refrigeration, cooking, dishwashers, EPA 608 refrigerant handling, gas appliance safety, electrical diagnostics, and service calls & estimates — are an original question bank written for this game, with a 75% pass mark and Apprentice → Master grading tiers. They're a game, not a real credential: actual EPA 608 certification comes from an approved testing organization.

Competing shops — Arizona Appliance Repairs directory

Rival shops are real businesses listed in the Arizona Appliance Repairs directory, shown with their real public Google rating and review count.

Only that much crosses over. Phone numbers, street addresses, websites and place IDs are deliberately left out — they're real contact details and have no place in a game. Rivals compete purely on their public ratings, and the game describes them neutrally: well reviewed, booked out, hiring, or referring work. Nothing in the game invents misconduct for a named business.

If you own a listed shop and would rather not appear, claim the listing and it'll be removed from the next build.

Repair guides

The real-world companion content — cost guides, DIY walkthroughs and lifetime repair cost breakdowns — lives at appliancerepairaz.com/repairs. The game links out rather than reproducing it.
